Link up is a plan to assist qualified low-income Iowans in obtaining basic telephone service by providing:

  • Reduced connection charges for basic phone service by 50 percent.
  • Deferred payment of connection charges, without interest.

Lifeline

Lifeline is a plan that assists qualified low-income Iowans by providing a monthly credit on their telephone bill in the amount of $8.25 per month. If you wish to have local service only with no long distance calls allowed from your phone, you may sign up for toll restriction assistance, which is a $3 per month credit.
