Late Pay Policy

The bills are mailed out on the first of the month. When you receive your bill, it is considered due at that time. If you have not paid your bill before the 20th of the month, you will receive a late notice and your account will be billed a late charge. This late charge affects your credit rating with Western Iowa Telephone. To keep a good credit rating and to save money, always pay before the 20th.

In an effort to assist those of you who receive income checks at the first of the month, we will be receiving payments for the previous month until 4:30 P.M. on the 3rd of every month. If your payment is not accounted for at our business office by 4:30 P.M. on the 3rd of the following month, your phone service will be subject to disconnection. We do place a reminder telephone call to all outstanding accounts a few nights before disconnecting. If you do not respond, and it becomes necessary to disconnect your service, a $26.75 fee per line must be paid in addition to the outstanding bill to have your phone service restored. If you have DSL and/or Cable tv, it will be disconnected, as well. There is also a $26.75 fee to restore cable tv once the disconnect order has been issued.There is a $37.11 charge to restore DSL if a disconnect order has been issued. For example, if you have phone service, cable tv, and DSL through Western Iowa Telephone and disconnect orders have been issued for these services for non-payment of your bill, the charge to restore all three services would be $90.61, plus the amount owing on the bill.
